She threw her baby away

She was scared and shy to tell her story

How could I ever forget the young woman. She was scared and shy to tell her story, but knew that she could help others by telling it.

Her father chased her away from home because she was pregnant. Her mother sold a cow to give her money to follow her boyfriend to the neighbouring country.

When she got to the address of her boyfriend, there was another girl with him. She was shocked and found shelter with an uncle. He took her in for only a few days because her baby was to be born. After the birth of her baby boy she didn’t know where to go or what to do. It was then that she decided to throw her baby away. She hoped somebody would pick up the baby and look after him. She took us to the place where she had left her baby. She wanted to end her life…

We started praying, speaking to God.

“Please, can I also speak to God?” He was eager to hear more and also experience speaking to God.

“You can speak to God in your own words or you can read the prayer Jesus taught His disciples.”

He took the New Testament from me and started reading in his own language.

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name…

The Bible says:

Matthew 6:16 “ But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen, and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
